First stop is The Salt Lick in Driftwood — the open pit, the family-style platters, the brisket people drive hours for. From there it's three wineries, about 45 minutes at each: Driftwood Estate with its hilltop views, Wimberley Valley's shaded patio under the oaks, and Duchman Family Winery's Italian-style estate.

Your guide handles the driving, the timing and the introductions at each stop; you handle the tasting. Back on South Congress between 4:30 and 5:00 PM.
